Stability analysis of latex emulsions with ultra-slow sedimentation rate using MS 20 stability analysis system
Using the DataPhysics MS 20 stability analysis system and its corresponding MSC software, it was possible to study the stability of different latex formulations.

Determination of heavy fuel oil stability and compatibility MS 20 according to ASTM D7061
The asphaltene stability study of two heavy fuel oil samples with DataPhysics MS 20 according to standardized ASTM D7061 will be presented throughout this application note.

Studying the gelation process during yogurt formation at different temperatures using MultiScan
The MultiScan (MS 20) from DataPhysics is a compact and versatile measuring device for optical stability and aging analyses. It can study gelation processes easily and provide additional information about stability issues in yogurt design.

Porometry, combination of gas-liquid and liquid-liquid expulsion methods
The 3p Innova seriesUltra-Nano Porometer (Innova-UNP) is a combination of gas-liquid and liquid-liquid methods. It is a through pore size analysis device, which includes a gas-liquid method that measure large pores of 500 μm to 0.013 μm and has liquid-liquid function to accurately measure.

Porometry, liquid-liquid expulsion method
LLP is a valuable technique for measuring the pore structure characteristics of ultrafiltration membranes. Such membranes can act as barriers to particles, including bacteria, pollens, spores, or pesticides.

Porometry, gas-liquid expulsion method
Standard capillary flow porometry is useful to characterize the pore structure of materials such as membranes, filter media, ceramics, paper, textile and similar materials. A non-toxic liquid is let spontaneously fill the pores in the sample and a non-reacting gas displaces the liquid from pores by increasing the gas pressure.

Bidirectional oscillating streaming potential method
DataPhysics patented a measuring technique that uses an oscillatory flow of electrolyte solution through or along the sample. The streaming potential and the currently applied pressure are measured simultaneously together with the temperature, conductivity and pH value of the electrolyte solution. Through the wide range of applicable flow frequencies and amplitudes a fast and precise measurement is possible.

Electrophoretic Light Scattering (ELS)
Electrophoretic light scattering (ELS) is a technology for measuring electrophoretic mobility via Doppler shifts of the scattered light. When an incident light illuminates dispersed particles that are subjected to an applied electric field, the frequency of the particles’ scattered light will be different from the incident light due to the Doppler effect. The frequency shift is measured and converted to provide the electrophoretic mobility.
